Cookie policy

Last updated — 1 September 2026

This policy explains what a cookie is, which cookies are used on the Korean Street Market (KSM) site, their purposes, their duration and how you can control them. It is drawn up in line with the CNIL’s guidelines and recommendation on “Cookies and other tracers”.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, phone, tablet) when you visit a site. It allows your browser to be recognised, certain preferences to be remembered, or audience to be measured.

We also use equivalent technologies (pixels, browser local storage, device fingerprints), referred to collectively here as “cookies”.

2. Your choices

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or refuse non-essential cookies, category by category. You can change your choices at any time via the “Manage my cookies” link in the footer.

Refusing is as easy as accepting; refusal has no impact on access to the site’s essential content.

3. Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the site to work and do not require your consent: session, security (CSRF protection), load balancing, storage of your cookie choices, cart and checkout.

Duration: session or up to 13 months for storing choices.

4. Audience-measurement cookies

We use [tool to be specified — e.g. Plausible Analytics (cookieless) / Matomo in exempted mode] to measure traffic on the site and improve our content.

Where the solution is configured in line with the CNIL’s consent exemption (anonymised data, not transferred to a third party, not cross-referenced with other processing), no consent is required. Otherwise, these cookies are only set with your consent.

Duration: up to 13 months.

5. Functional cookies

Embedded videos: we favour “no-cookie” mode (for instance YouTube nocookie) which only sets cookies once you start playback.

Maps: Google Maps may set cookies when the map is displayed. You can refuse it via the banner.

6. Advertising and social-network cookies

We do not currently use advertising cookies.

If in the future we embed social-network content (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.), it may set its own cookies. Such content will only load after your explicit consent.

7. Managing from your browser

You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies: Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Edge all offer a dedicated panel in their settings.

Blocking all cookies may impair your experience (settings not remembered, forms requiring re-validation).

8. Contact and complaints

For any question about this cookie policy: privacy@koreanstreetmarket.com.

You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
